Cari Wilcock – Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator
Cari moved to Alameda with her family in 1986 from Oakland where she was born and raised. She first joined our ortho family as a mom when her daughter had braces as a teen. A few years later, she came to work here and is now our Treatment Coordinator and Office Manager. Cari completed Invisalign treatment to get that nice smile she always wanted.
She and her husband, Tim, have two sons in addition to their daughter. All three are now married, and Cari is thrilled to be grandma to one granddaughter and seven grandsons. Family is her number one joy and priority.
Cari is a sports nut and loves her Oakland A’s, San Francisco 49ers, San Jose Sharks and NASCAR racing. She enjoys spending her spare time reading, watching good movies, riding her bike and taking long walks. She loves pasta, Dr. Pepper and chocolate, and her favorite thing to make for dinner is a reservation!
Norma Magana –Financial Coordinator
Norma, our Financial Coordinator, obtained her Dental Assisting license from College of Alameda. Before finishing the assisting program, she was immediately hired in an orthodontic office where she was interning at Dr. Barrett J. Parker. Soon after finishing the assisting program, she became an RDA. She has worked as a Registered Dental Assistant, Front Office Receptionist and in the Financial Department with many years of experience in Orthodontics, Pediatric, and Surgical offices. She has been working at Alameda Orthodontics for over 3 years where she has come to settle down and continue to provide excellent financial service to all patients.
She and her husband, Rigo, have two wonderful children of which they are very proud of. Both are wanting to major in the medical field. She likes spending time with the family and when she gets a chance she loves traveling, going to the A's games, shopping, cooking, crocheting and watching movies. Whenever she can, she loves visiting the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland!
Adriana Arrizon – Dental Assistant
Adriana was born in Navidad, Jalisco, a small town in Mexico. When she was 10 years old in 1996, her family moved to Oakland where she currently lives. Adriana comes from a large family which includes five sisters and one brother. She has been happily married for many years and has two children, Natalia and Saul. Her family is extremely close, and they are all very important to her. After graduating from San Leandro High School, she became interested in a career in the dental field, and in 2007, she obtained her Dental Assisting license from Heald College. Adriana came to our team with orthodontic experience and great skills.
During her free time, she takes pleasure in attending her kid's various sports activities, watching Disney movie, as well as planning for the upcoming week's events.
Mayra Pena-Briseno – Dental Assistant
Mayra was born and raised in the Bay Area. After graduating from Arroyo High School, she went to the Regional Occupational Program to earn her Dental Assisting license. She also graduated from Chabot Community College with an associate degree in Criminal Justice. She was in between both fields but chose to go into the dental field. Mayra joined our team in 2018. She loves being part of the happiness that patients feel as their smiles are being transformed.
In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family and dogs, Mona and Chapo. She also likes being out in nature, shopping and cooking. She also enjoys traveling with her husband.
Alondra Rodriguez – Dental Assistant
Alondra was born in Tepatitlan de Morelos Jalisco, Mexico. When she was 12 years
old, she and her family moved to Richmond, California. After graduating from Leadership High School, a friend introduced her to Carrington College in San Leandro where he completed her Dental Assisting degree in early 2022. Alondra has quickly settled into our team and works hard to increase her skills.
Alondra lives with her 2 brothers, mother, step-father and two cats. She loves spending quality time with her family and friends. During her free time, she loves exploring new places, dancing and swimming.
Crystal Toailoa – Clinical Team
Crystal is a Bay Area native. After graduating from Hayward High School, she obtained her Dental Assisting license from the Regional Occupational Program. Shortly after, she also received her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant certificate and worked in that specialty for four years before joining our team in 2010. Crystal loves interacting with her patients and decided orthodontics was the specialty for her. Crystal comes from a very sports-crazed family, spending most weekends at Raider games and various sporting events. She also has a young son named Bobby, and when she’s not working, they can be found at the park, playing basketball or eating popsicles (especially the red ones)! Her hobbies include cooking, baking and party planning.
